Lecturers and Tutors
Allison Pitt
Allison Pitt studied
at University
of NSW and gained her Bachelor of Education in Art. A life dedicated to
education she has taught Art and Drama at Steiner, Public and Catholic
High Schools. She has worked with very little children, with primary
school aged children for seven years at Kamaroi Rudolf Steiner School,
people with severe disabilities and those entering the last phase of
life. Allison is a lecturer who also holds many workshops. She
currently facilitates groups for those with an interest in recovering
their creativity. She has a deep appreciation of the work of Rudolf
Steiner and its potential to inspire change.

Fiona Campbell
Fiona
has been apProfessional
artist for 20 years. She has established a small business Painted
Space, specializing in Lazure Murals and artworks that
integrate and enhance architectural surface and space.
She is a trained Waldorf Teacher and an experienced adult educator for
12 years, having lectured at Parsifal College in the modules; Evolution
of Consciousness, Parsifal Studies, Destiny and Visual Arts.
She has a BA(Honours) in Linguistics, an is currently enrolled in
MA in Information Science.
Jacques Goldman
Jacques
Goldman has
taught creative writing at Parsifal College since 1988. He has written
two radio plays and some poetry (unpublished). His poem Hello,
I am
a child was published in 2005 in the collection Mood
Lighting.
In 2003 he completed a Masters of Education at the University of Sydney
with a text for adults on the history of ethics.
He also teaches studies in religion for the University of the Third
Age. The fourth edition of his chronology Rudolf Steiner's
Works
in English is in preparation.
Joanna Panagiotopoulos
Joanna Panagiotopoulos
is a performer, poet and speech artist. She began her anthroposophical
studies at Parsifal College, and then commenced a three-year training
with Dawn Langman in the arts of movement, speech and acting at The
School of the Living Word.
Her work is an ongoing exploration of the integration of Michael
Chekhov's acting technique with Rudolf Steiner's art of
speech
formation. The basis of this work is to aim towards experiencing the
wholeness of life in the art of theatre, which embraces the earth, soul
and spiritual aspects of character and language.
She has performed in a number of plays to both mainstream and
anthroposophical audiences, and is now involved in the creation of an
ensemble that is attempting to cultivate this particular approach. She
is teaching this work privately in the southern highlands of NSW and to
students at Parsifal College.
June Cunningham
June
has a special
interest in the way humans work together in groups and organisations,
particularly in the context of Rudolf Steiner's ideas on the
threefold
social order. Her approach also draws from modern management
philosophies based on organic rather than mechanistic models.
Her interest in these areas has developed during 25 years of
wide-ranging management experience with local government, business and
schools, and a continuing search for more ethical and human-sensitive
workplaces. For 10 very intensive and satisfying years to 1998, June
was a founding parent, director and Business Manager of Kamaroi
Rudolf Steiner School in Sydney.
June now works as a consultant assisting Steiner schools in the areas
of governance, financial management, administration and strategic
planning. She also works closely with the Rudolf Steiner Schools of
Australia association, through which she has published her book Working
with Curriculum in Australian Steiner Schools and an
Administration Handbook for Steiner schools.
Mark Baxter
Mark is an architect
active in
designing Waldorf Schools Australia wide. He studied sculpture at
Emerson college and pioneered Flowform water sculptures in Australia.
Having taught sculpture at Parsifal for many years he now lectures on
architecture
and the visual arts.
Dr Chris Miliotis MBBS
Chris
first met
Anthroposophy through the work in Curative Education and Biodynamic
Farming. He then studied Medicine at UNSW. From there he integrated
complementary and Anthroposophical Medicine into his GP practice.
In 2004 he spent a year as a Visiting Scholar at The John Curtin School
of Postgraduate Medical Research at ANU. In 2005 he took up a lecturing
position at a College of Naturopathy. He has lectured extensively to
audiences on many varied topics, however the underlying theme has
always been his understanding of the Human Being as influenced by
Anthroposophy.
Eileen Kaufman
Eileen Kaufman is
currently
managing Warrah Biodynamic Farm; a certified biodynamic market garden
and free range chicken farm which is part of Warrah Society,
an anthroposophical disability program.
Her qualifications include a Horticultural Science Degree (Massey
University) a Diploma in Biodynamic Agriculture (Taruna College New
Zealand) and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
(Hornsby TAFE) Eileen has 10 years of experience in organic and
biodynamic farming.
Renate Long-Breipohl
Renate Long-Breipohl
holds a doctorate in theology and a degree in education, majoring in
early childhood education. She has been involved in Anthroposophy for
30 years. Before migrating to Australia in 1985 she has lectured in
early childhood at universities in Bochum and Dortmund in Germany.
In Australia she became the co-founder of the Samford Valley
Steiner School near Brisbane and taught there in the kindergarten
for 10 years. In 1997 she moved to Sydney to join Parsifal College, as
a tutor in the Anthroposophical Studies course and as coordinator and
tutor in the early childhood courses.
Renate regularly travels, lecturing in Australia and the South East
Pacific Region. She has coordinated Steiner early childhood teacher
training courses in Manila/ Philippines from 2000-2002 and in Bangkok
from 2003-2006. She is member on the board of the International
Association for Steiner Early Childhood Education.
Ronan O Connor M App Sc Soc Ecol, Bach Adult
Ed
For
most of his working life Ronan
O Connor has been involved in environmental/biodynamic work primarily
growing and planting trees in Europe and Australia. Coupled with this
was a strong interest in community/social development. More recently he
has aligned himself with the fields of adult education and therapy for
addictions, working out of anthroposophy.

Parsifal College and studied sculpture and visual arts at Emerson

Steiner Education Lecturers and Tutors
Andrew Hill, B.A. Hons, Dip Arts(English) , M.
Ed.
Andrew Hill lectures
in Steiner
Pedagogy, English and Science and is a member of the College of Tutors
of the Advanced Diploma of Rudolf Steiner Education and the Part-time
Course. With a background in Anthropology and English literature as
well as experience in a curative school Andrew has been strongly
involved in all aspects of teacher training. In 2006 he is
teaching Class 5 on his third round of class teaching.
Ann Jacobson, M.A (Music )
Ann Jacobson has been
a class
teacher for more than 20 years both at Glenaeon and another Steiner
inspired school. She tutors in the HSIE module bringing the Cultural
Epochs and Human Environment as well as lecturing in Main Lesson Theory
to the Part-time Course. Ann is teaching Class 7 on this round as
a Class teacher and is also a member of the College of Tutors.
Peggy Day, B.A., Dip Ed, M. Ed.
Peggy Day has been a
long term
Steiner Preschool and Kindergarten teacher but has also taught craft
and in the Class Teacher Period as well as a Waldorf subject in the
Senior High School. She has been the Coordinator of the Advanced
Diploma since 1999. Fairy Tales, Festivals, Craft and Early Childhood
are her areas.
Diane Tatum, B.A., Eur Dip, M. Cur Eur
Diane taught at the
New York School
after completing her Eurythmy training in Germany. She was then a
member of the Eurythmeum in Stuttgart before undertaking the Curative
Eurythmy training. She has been a Eurythmy teacher at Kamaroi School in
Sydney for many years and has tutored in Child Observation and Inner
Development as well as Eurythmy in the Advanced Diploma.
John Rowan, B.A., Dip Ed
John was a geography
teacher before
training and at the Edinburgh School to be a Steiner Class
Teacher. He has taken two classes at Glenaeon through their 7
year cycle and now tutors in Maths, Geometry and Form Drawing as well
as Visual Arts.
Graeme Harvey, B Eng (Uni W.A.)
Graeme Harveyhas
been involved in the Advanced Diploma in the fields of School
Management, Social Skills and Human Communication. He has been a
consultant to industry and to Steiner Schools in Management and Social
Development for over 20 years after training in this field at Emerson
College.
Elizabeth Lilicrap, B. A.
Elizabeth Lilicrap teaches singing
to the Advanced Diploma students, building a love of music and a
repertoire for the classes of each age. She has a B. A. in Music and
German and has been an instrumental music and voice teacher for many
years.
Elizabeth is Choir Mistress of the Sydney St James Junior Choir and
also a High School Teacher.
Bernadette Gaskin, Dip Cur Ed
Bernadette Gaskin
trained as a
curative teacher in England before working at Inala in Sydney. She was
a class teacher at the Perth Waldorf School and is now teaches Class 3
at Glenaeon. With a love of both the oral language tradition and
history she tutors in speech for morning circle, anthroposophy and
steiner pedagogy in the part-time course.
John Blackwood, B Sc. (Tech), Dip Ed (UNE)
John
Blackwood has been a High
School Maths teacher at Glenaeon for 21 years and has a research
interest in projective geometry and plant forms. He has recently had
published 2 Steiner High School Maths books. He has tutored in
Anthroposophy for many years.
