The Environment:

 

Sydney Rudolf Steiner College campus is located at Rudolf Steiner House, 307 Sussex Street Sydney which is within the Central Business District of the city. Steiner House is in close proximity to all the facilities you would come to expect of a vibrant city like Sydney. We are within five minutes of the Darling Harbour Complex which has excellent harbour-side facilities. There are wonderful gardens, a large selection of restaurants and bars, a cinema, an aquarium and other exciting entertainment options. The harbour is world renowned and there are many ways of exploring its beauty. Sydney Rudolf Steiner College is also close to China Town which has great eateries and good shopping facilities. From the College it is an easy walk to the city centre which is home to excellent art galleries and museums as well as a variety of beautiful parks, architectural masterpieces and many historical features.

Accommodation and Transport: 

Accommodation can be an issue close to the city centre but is more reasonably priced in the suburbs which are easily accessed by public transport.  Often students coming to Sydney to study with Sydney Rudolf Steiner College cooperate in share accommodation arrangements.

Public  transport to Sydney Rudolf Steiner College is excellent. The closest railway station is Town Hall, two blocks away. Numerous private and public buses service the city centre usually ending up at Queen Victoria Building five minutes from Sydney Rudolf Steiner College

Full time students are eligible for a travel concession on public transport. 

Student Assistance:  

Sydney Rudolf Steiner College can offer assistance in obtaining information about accommodation, travel and the needs of everyday life. Students who would like assistance or require pick-up from the airport are asked to contact Sydney Rudolf Steiner College at least four weeks before arrival. NB: Sydney Rudolf Steiner College is unable to accept overseas students into its courses. Applicants from overseas are advised to contact  the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner Seminar for enrolment into the Diploma of Anthroposophical Studies or the Advanced Diploma in Rudolf Steiner Education

Fairytale Writing Workshop

We shall work with the symbolic nature of storytelling, through writing our own fairy tales, learning through exercises, about the classic structure of storytelling used from the time of classical Greek tragedy to the present day Hollywood blockbusters.
